The Nicky Cup, is made of stoneware and draws its special character from three different types of reactive glaze. Each piece is first given a dark brown background colour, over which a lighter, greyish blue shade is applied. The whole is then finished with a dark blue border, which reacts with the other two glazes and gives the raised edge the colour palette of a splendid dusk.
