Marie also designed two concrete stools, named Mariette, after her grandmother, which are placed together as puzzle pieces to create more shapes. The rounded shapes have something feminine about them, contrasting nicely with the hard, masculine concrete. With the Mariette stools, you have not only shapes but also materials. Marie always finds it interesting to position a warm natural material such as wood alongside an industrial, man-made material such as concrete.
