Rafaela de Ascanio
Rafaela de Ascanio is a multimedia artist working across ceramic, painting and performance. Her installations seek to reinstate women as the protagonists of visual language. Recent shows include ‘Wave’ at Cob Gallery, ’Conjure’ at Arusha, 'Fancy a Bite?' at Studio West, and 'The Pump House' with Berntson Bhattacharjee. De Ascanio will be presenting a duo exhibition at Tristan Hoare Gallery in March 2023.
London based, De Ascanio studied at Central Saint Martins, The Courtauld Institute of Art and Turps banana Painting school. She has been featured in The Art Newspaper, FAD Magazine and The WICK, and was awarded the Young Masters Focus on the Female Award 2021.
