MUSIC LAB HOUSE
The entire four-storey building underwent a complete restoration, including the redistribution of many spatial functions. The basement and ground floor have been transformed into a creative lab and a music shop. The home begins on the first level with a living room and kitchen, followed by two double bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. The hardwood floors and the boiserie have been restored by specialised artisans. Because the house owner is an eclectic artist and collector of vintage objects, the interior design is created around the articulate taste of the client. The style revisits modernism while daringly integrating different époques of furniture pieces and the use of bold colours. Antique interior windows open up the overall environment, allowing the previously closed-off rooms of the multi-level home to interact more. The colours of the ceramic tiles in the kitchen range from purple, peacock blue, black, green to white – the colours and rhythmically playful shapes reflect the overall spirited and contemporary atmosphere of the home as a whole.
